So you want to write a blog, eh? Blogging is certainly one of the most revolutionary elements of the Internet. It will, as a person to provide information about themselves, products, services, or the world around them as they see fit. Blogging Tip # 1 – Be yourself! Nobody likes to read a blog that sounds weird or boring. Let your personality through! The more unique you are, the more your blog stand out. Blogging Tip # 2 – Be careful! What your mother ever tell you not to write anything that you would not read in the newspaper? Unless you set your security preferences to the contrary, your blog can be read by everyone and anyone. This means that if you’re not careful, your life could become very personal public in a heartbeat. This could have major implications for your job, especially if your boss reads this description of his baldness embarrassing, or if your boyfriend asks about your exploits at the helm. Solution? Code names. Use of company names to keep your personal data safe and secure lives, while entertaining your readers. It’s one of those blogging tips that may seem to contradict everything you’ve learned, but is finding a balance between openness and intimacy that you get when you need to be.
Blogging Tip # 3 – Be consistent! When you start blogging, you’ll probably be so excited about the project that you update your trusty little corner of the Internet, however, as time passes and things happen, it is easy for your blog go to trap. DO NOT let this happen! If you stop writing for a week, you may lose the interest of your readers and potential new readers. In addition to this, blogs are often cathartic, then you’re probably not do yourself the favor by relax. Set aside a certain amount of time each day to write a post, even if it is short.
Blogging can be a great experience, but to think before you write. Keep these tips in mind the blogs, and you will do very well!
