Michigan Municipal Leaders Attend an Education Session During the 2012 Michigan Local Government Management Association Winter Institute in East Lansing

The Michigan Local Government Management Association had its 2012 Winter Institute in East Lansing this week under the theme “Coaching a New Season.” The organization represents executives from Michigan’s cities, villages, counties and townships and this year’s winter seminar drew more than 200 officials. Topics for the four-day conference included the value of creating a sense of place in restoring Michigan to prosperity by Michigan Municipal League CEO Dan Gilmartin; how to propose a bill; shared services and best practices in local government; community branding strategies; complete streets; the Economic Vitality Incentive Program (EVIP) formerly known as revenue sharing; municipal credit ratings; EVIP and employee compensation; communicating with your residents; creativity and innovation; accreditations; staff effectiveness; legal ramifications of social media; issues surrounding privatization; public safety leadership; the economics of place; legislation impacting health insurance plans. Question by Been there, don’t want to go back: Is America blind when it comes to Obama? And apparently, the rest of the world is too?
Everyone raves about how he is “different” than other presidential campaigners and how he will bring about “change”. Has anyone really researched what he is about? There is loads of information on the internet, videos on Youtube.com with Obama expressing his views, in his own words. Then there the video where he won’t pledge allegiance to the flag. Everyone else is singing the national anthem with hands over their hearts and he is standing silent with hands at his side. He is strongly for partial birth abortion, in which a baby who is aborted and survives, should NOT be saved because the mother has decided to abort them in the first place. Google “abortion survivors” if you want to read more…there are many healthy, living, breathing, successful people walking around who were “aborted”, lived, and someone took pity on them and saved them.

Have Obama’s supporters considered Obama:

Plans to block emergency medical aid for babies who survived abortion.

Plans to ban the use of firearms by lawabiding citizens—even for self-defense.

Was abandoned by his bigamist father and raised in a Muslim society—and how this influences his values.

Would raise tax rates to a Hoover-like 60 percent.

Will transform the U.S. Treasury into the United Nations’ ATM.

Wants fuel prices high and farmland taken out of production.

Will grant federal medical insurance to 12 million illegal aliens and increase emergency room costs alone by $ 15.4 billion annually.

Would transfer child-rearing from parents to the federal government with his secular “0 to 5” program.

Obama is affiliated with people like Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and known terrorist, Bill Ayers.

America, do a little research before buying the exciting and articulantly executed speeches about HOPE and CHANGE. I’m not saying McCain is the answer but do you really want Barack at the helm? I’m not a racist and have nothing against a black president but I have a lot against what he stands for and represents – I think there is a lot more to him than people see, and they will see it if he gets elected.

I don’t really have any experience with paying for emails about work at home, but I would strongly advise you not to pay for them. Usually if you have to pay to work at home it is a scam.
