Question by p: Are there grad programs focused on teaching social media marketing?
I am majoring in Marketing undergrad, but for grad school I would love to solely focus on social media and how to market online using websites like facebook, twitter, etc. Do programs exist like this in grad school? Thanks!

Answer by Kerry Finley
I am afraid, there are no basic course in any institutions that will help you pursue a course on social media marketing. Since you hold keen interest in social media marketing, it is better that you spend quality time reading blogs, posts and articles on social media marketing. There are quite a few number of blogs and article directories wherein you can find detailed views on social media marketing. Just go through them and you will have a clearer idea on how the pundits optimize a website in the social media platforms.

Question by SuperFastCash: Does advertising on YouTube work for you? Are there better ways to advertise?
I currently advertise my Global Domains (GDI) affiliate program with YouTube as my main source. I also use 3 software programs that I give away free to my downline including software to increase your youtube video views to whatever you want, advertise to thousands of cell phones by sending a small text message to their phone everyday for free, and an auto poster that posts a text ad you create to over 64,000 newsgroups automatically everyday with the click of a button. I have also used Google AdWords, and I give away $ 50 in free adwords dollars to my downline when they join as well. Even though I use YouTube to advertise more than anything, and my software works incredibly for me and my downline, I’m wondering if anyone else has any advertising ideas? Please advise.

Answer by Jake Birdem
You have probably seen those gateway sites that require you to do a quiz or signup for a trial in order to access a game or download something. They rely on CPA ads which are tough to sign up for, but I believe the gateway provides are easier to join.
Just viewing images seems too thin a reward for jumping through such hoops.
This is more of the sort of reward one might give out for signing up to an email list (submitting email address and maybe first name), which you would use to stay in contact and market through later…
Mailchimp is a mail manager service with a free version that includes opt-in form code.

Affiliation Program – with Store Locator widgets, there is no way for affiliate to get any commission on the offline purchase

Image by Matthieu Dejardins, eCommerce Activist
Illustration from the following post: Affiliation Program: motivations, EPC, top 20 publishers & network comparison.
Some merchants list builk-and-mortar shops, but overlook the fact that once the affiliate-referred visitor "leaks" to those websites, there is no chance the affiliate could earn any commission on his/her purchase in that other store
Question by BernBabyBern: Is there a service that allows you to track if a link was clicked and by who?
Please Read Carefully before you answer to make sure you understand what I am asking.
First, I do NOT want to know how to track my own personal affiliate links that I promote.
I have a successful website and have recently decided to start an affiliate program. When I send out the affiliate newsletter I will be including some links for some specific purposes. I want to know if there is a service or tracker that will track 1 – If a link was clicked and 2 If it was clicked, which affiliates clicked on it. And then giving me a report that shows me how many clicks the link got and a list of the affiliates who clicked on it.
I appreciate all honest and informative answers.
WARNING: If you are one of those answers that click on a bunch of questions and leave BS answers just to get credit for answering a question, please know that I will give the answer a thumbs down and report you to yahoo and then you will be blocked. I dont do this to have to wade through a bunch of uninformative, bs answers. Its a waste of my time and I will take action.

to your warning :O and b4 u report me….
Im not sure if you can track if it was clicked or not but you can track how many people visited a page, so if the link goes to a specific web page you can track how many people visited that page, and u can see from where that page was viewed (machine picks it up by IP address) it wont tell you the exact location but it will give you a general area ie. Melbourne, Aus
